Buzz Rickson’s Repros Early Wartime Pants With WW1 Brown Denim Army Pants

Buzz Rickson’s is throwing down some denim history in the form of maybe, the most perfect pants ever: WWI Brown Denim Army Trousers.

With vintage examples of this military unicorn beyond impossible to find, here is your shot to own a pair you can freely wear, minus the heart-dropping fear of staining or ripping an original example. With denim made from brown yarn for the warp, and twisted yarn ecru and black for the weft, this fabric, although incredibly satisfying to look at, was super short-lived – being used only up to WWII. We all know this was because ancestors of Heddels readers were like ‘we need a color that fades more dramatically!’

Weighing in at 10 oz., these early military/workwear hybrids feature; a button fly with zinc buttons, a cinch back, and huge pockets which add as much style as function, while the high rise and loose silhouette keep things timeless and easy to wear.
