The Division Road x Tricker’s Super Monkey Boot Is Back In 3 New Make-Ups

With the new boots out from Division Road & Tricker’s, you could say that there’s much ado about kudu. Dropped just last week, the new collaboration features a trio of Division Road’s exclusive Tricker’s Super Monkey boot in a lovely kudu from C.F. Stead paired with Horween‘s Natural Chromexcel.

To be clear, this isn’t your dad’s monkey boot. Monkey boots started life as a sort of general-purpose military boot with a history pre-dating WWII. They were later adopted by the mods, then the skinheads, then the punks. Now monkey boots are worn by people from all walks of life, and, with such a classic silhouette, they’re immensely versatile and can be styled any number of ways. Just . . . don’t do shorts with them, okay?

This latest trio from Division Road & Tricker’s has its new Flexi-Welt that features a reverse welt along with a lighter insole and a cork fill. In other words, you don’t need to brace yourself for months of blisters and pain the likes of which is needed for other boots out there.

C.F. Stead waxed Kudu takes center stage on 2 of these Super Monkey Boots. The baltic waxed kudu on the two-tone pair sits in charming contrast against the natural leather welt and Horween chromexcel parts of the upper, While the grey, waxed ‘storm’ kudu stands alone in all its glory with contrast coming from the choice of tan or ecru nylon laces. If you want to go safe and classic, this super trio is rounded out with a pure chromexcel pair in all natural.
