Grant Stone Opens Pre-Orders For ‘Waxed Tobacco’ Duo

If you’re struggling with the idea of retiring your winter shoe rotation and need something for that transitional period into spring/summer — or you one of those whose rotation only really consists of leather stompers — then Grant Stone has 2 beauties you simply cannot ignore. Two new editions of the Longwing & Ottawa Boot in ‘waxed tobacco’.

Founded in 2016 by Wyatt Gilmore, a bootmaker who learnt his craft in a Chinese Goodyear-welting factory, Grant Stone produces premium footwear in Xiamen, China, using the finest materials and expert craftsmanship  – and these latest offerings are no different. The uppers on these 2 new jawns are cut from C.F. Stead waxy commander leather in that deep tobacco tone and sit on robust outsoles with that ever reliable and low maintenance Goodyear welt construction.

Shared features include; Grant Stone’s leo last (size down .5), full grain leather kip lining, vegetable-tanned leather insole/welt/ midsole, cork filler with steel shank, and full-grain leather heel counters. The outsole is the only place you’ll find a difference between these two is with the Longwing sporting double-bend leather outsole, compared to the rubber lug sole on the Ottawa Boot for those more rugged endeavors.

Both are available for pre-order now from Grant Stone priced at $340
