Fade Friday – Sage Ranger East 19 oz. (8 Months, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

I’ve been writing and editing Fade Friday for over five years now, but I remember my first fade article like it was yesterday. It was a pair of Sage jeans, just like these Sage Ranger East worn by Eka over in Indonesia. Genuinely astounded by the depth and level of contrast in the fades upon opening my first fade assignment, I quickly learned about the bustling raw denim scene in South East Asia, and now, seeing insane fades like this are just part of the job.

Eka has been wearing his 19 oz. Sage Ranger East for just 8 months and they’re shitting on most of us Western folk’s hard-earned, half-decade old raws. I’ll let the pictures do the talking, but these have all the tropical climate fade hallmarks – racked up honeycombs and stacking fades, electric whiskers that spark right ’round to the seat, and shimmering areas of high dye-loss that make you fall in love with indigo over and over again. Also – peep those faded button imprints down the fly.
