Benzak Renders Its Holiday Shirt In Baseball-Stripe Japanese Twill

Now, I’m not normally one for hybrids. It’s either one or the other for me, as, when merging garments, the best bits can be forgotten, resulting in a garment that had lost its core essence. But every now and then, brands nail the splicing approach and it really pays off. Take this BSS-01 Holiday Shirt from Benzak as a prime example exactly what I mean, here.

This is Benzak’s interpretation of a classic summer shirt, achieved by merging an archetypal, mid-century camp collar button-down silhouette with the striping of a classic heritage baseball jersey –  and getting a perfect balance between the two. Made in Portugal from a 6 oz. baseball-striped pre-washed 100% cotton Japanese twill woven by Collect Mills, the fit is loose, but not too loose, the camp collar is splayed — but not too splayed– and you’re treated to a slew of features including; one slanted chest pocket, side seam splits for added comfort, cotton-poly heavy duty stitching, and mother of pearl buttons.
