Cableami Constructs Its 6 Panel Cap From Ventile

A good cap rotation is key. What’s even more key is knowing that the cap you chose for the day will not only keep the rays out of your eyes but also be there for you if the weather decides to turn nasty and, literally, rain on your parade. And lord knows that happens in some places.

Japanese imprint Câbleami introduces one such trusty steed in the form of their newest 6-Panel Cap. Constructed entirely from 100% 6.5 Oz. Ventile cotton — the grandfather of Goretex — made from extra-long-staple cotton fibers densely woven to create a weave that repels water. And, unlike its modern fabric counterparts, these properties are actually enhanced the wetter the fabric gets, as the softer yarns swell to form an even stronger barrier against the moisture. If you want to get down to the nitty-gritty of Ventile, check out our primer on this fabric, here.

This no-nonsense dome piece is made in Japan, features a minimal design with no external branding and an adjustable back strap.
