Rex in Taiwan has been in his Momotaro‘s for the last 3 years and has given them 4 washes along the way. He’s been wearing them every day and for everything from work and traveling to just hanging out and living life. They’ve yet to go on the repair bench which makes you think Rex isn’t an adventurous guy, but his fades tell a completely different story.
Featuring whiskers stretching across the whole lap, there is barely an unworn section to be seen — and now that I think of it — the whiskering pattern looks way more honeycomb-y making them super interesting to look at. Those flow right into creases that claw down the leg, bordering the knees, and continue down to the ankles. The combing behind the knees are rough, rigid, and cavernous which highlights the dark, mysterious overall look of the jeans. This is most apparent in the airbrush-looking seat, back of thighs, and calves.
Basically, the fade patterns although mostly normal are set to a dark backdrop instead of a denim that fades white making them a refreshing change of pace. Go, Rex!
