Jelado’s Lennon Shirt Returns For SS22

The Beatles once said “All you need is love” and I’m not disputing that at all, but summer is on the horizon and I’d say “All you need is Love..ly shirts”. The Jelado Lennon Shirt is one such shirt back by popular demand for its second stint as part of the brand’s spring/summer lineup.

This piece takes its style inspiration from vintage military OG-107 shirts which were a mainstay in the US army basic utility uniform of all branches of their armed forces for over 3 decades before being discontinued in 1999, with the surplus getting a second life through beloved surplus and thrift stores. Ultimately this shirt was made famous by John Lennon wearing it on the cover of ‘Live in New York’ — hence the name and my reference at the top of this piece.

Jelado’s relaxed fit nod to this classic is made in Japan and features; a classic splayed collar, dual chest pockets, a button front with tonal resin buttons all housed in a 100% cotton back satin, already washed once which is guaranteed to fade over time for that 60s lived-in look.

Available in Smoke Blue or Vanilla from Clutch Cafe priced at $275
