You don’t need to buy a pre-washed/distressed jean, just cop one in a lighter shade of blue (sax), and start the fade process from there. Yes, these are going to fade – that white bottom yarn will reveal itself over time. You’ll end up with a much lighter colored jean than most of your indigo dipped raws, which sounds good to us, ‘cos you don’t always need the darkest shade of blue to start your raw denim journey.
These are relaxed-straight cut, from an unsanforized and unrinsed crispy left-hand twill, so size up — they’re going to shrink roughly a full size. Go one up from whatever fits you best. These sky blue 5-pocket beauties are detailed with a paper patch (sure to dissolve in the machine over time), a zippered fly, and copper rivet reinforcements.
