Fade Friday – Warpweft Co. Sora (1 Year, 1 Wash, 3 Soaks)

We’ll spare you the full spiel on the Southeast Asian (SEA) denim scene and break it down into’ It’s hot in SEA; people still wear heavyweight raw selvedge denim despite the heat in SEA; this somehow leads to some of the most incredible fades and denim evolution in extremely short amounts of time.

This pair of Warpweft Co. Sora raw selvedge denim jeans come from Muhamad down in Indonesia, who has managed to bake these fades in the SEA denim microwave in just 1 year. Without any information on Muhamad’s wearing routine (I can feel the fade-fraud accusation comments pending), we can only assume that the humid climate of Indonesia has torn into this unsanforized 20 oz. slubby denim in the way we’ve seen so many times. Whiskers, honeycombs, and even some stark stacking fades, these Warpwefts have it all, and then some.
