Lesser Known Toyo-Label ‘Gold’ Came Through With Some Vat-Dyed Goodness

From the good people that bring you Buzz Rickson’s and Sugar Cane, and probably your favorite enterprise – Toyo – comes this belter of a shirt from the fairly under-the-radar label ‘Gold.’ Harboring a similar ethos to others on the Toyo roster and offering vintage-inspired garments manufactured in the most authentic way possible whilst adding modern tweaks, the Vat Dye S/S Chambray Work Shirt in Navy couldn’t be a better example of this even if it tried.

Taking some inspiration from a shirt issued to the U.S Army that’s now a favorite amongst collectors with an updated modern take, this shirt is cut and made in Japan from a 100% lightweight and extremely soft cotton that has been vat dyed achieving that gloriously rich/deep navy tone throughout. The relaxed fit is completed with a button front, regular collar, two large military-style patch chest pockets, all finished off with tonal buttons and stitching throughout that perfectly match the navy dream created in the body.
