The lightweight fabric will certainly keep you cooler than most other fabrics, and the beautiful texture will add a bit of pop to an otherwise bland outfit. The point of difference for this is the two patch pockets at the waist perfect for sunglasses or even a cardholder.

2) Blluemade: Noguchi Shirt in Azure Blue Linen
If you are looking for something a bit more colorful, Blluemade‘s Noguchi Shirt in Azure Blue Linen is an excellent option. Made in NYC from Belgian linen, this shirt has a deep blue hue, corozo nut buttons, dual chest pockets, and two front patch pockets. The myriad of buttons certainly makes this a great overshirt option for when the weather is just a bit cooler than you’d like, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be worn all on its own too.

3) Knickerbocker: Flapjack Shirt in Plaid
Knickbocker‘s Flapjack Shirt is the one if you like to channel mid-century cool in your sartorial choices. Looking like its jumped straight out of a 60s menswear catalog, Knickerbocker’s Flapjacket Shirt is made of 100% linen fabric and built with mother of pearl buttons, dual chest pockets, and felled seams for improved construction durability.

4) Monitaly: Vacation Camp Collar Shirt in Navy Linen
Camp collar shirts are the iconic warm weather button-down, and Monitaly‘s Vacation Camp Collar Shirt is a truly excellent interpretation. Made in Los Angeles from 100% linen fabric with back pleats, cuffed sleeve hems, and a split helm, each shirt is finished with melamine buttons and two chest pockets for a thoroughly classic look typical of Monitaly.

5) Gitman Vintage Bros: Chambray Linen Beach Shirt
Can we talk about shirting without mentioning Gitman Bros. Vintage? Nope, we can’t, ‘cos this iconic brand is for anyone interested in classic, Americana shirting. Their Chambray Linen Beach Shirt is just one of many excellent linen button-downs they offer, but the choice to weave linen with cotton into a chambray fabric gives this shirt an even better texture than linen would on its own. It features two front hand pockets, a straight hem, and an open collar.

Plus One – Nine Lives x Art Comes First: 9L Double Gauze Linen Camp Collar – Black
Nine Lives consistently produces unique clothing that remains easy to wear, and their latest collaboration with Art Comes First continues this trend. It’s made from a Double Gauze Linen fabric — meaning there are two layers of the fabric fused together in a nearly seamless manner — and finished with tonal black buttons. While the double-layered fabric will make this shirt a bit warmer than other linen shirts, it was far too special to leave off this list.
