Momotaro’s 18 oz. 0605-18 Natural Tapered Is a Jean For The Thunder Thigh Kings

Calling all gym monkeys, squat enthusiasts, and leg-day connoisseurs – do we have some news for you. Japanese denim heavyweight Momotaro has just dropped a new pair of jeans with so much room in the seat, you’ll still be able to rock them after you hit your next PB. Even if that PB is just another Peanut Butter sandwhich.

Cut from a heavy 18 oz.raw selvedge denim woven from Zimbabwe cotton, the 0605-18 is the brand’s latest model featuring a mid-to-high rise and a natural taper, leaving plenty of room in the seat for those of us with chunkier thighs while maintaining that beautiful taper past the knee for a modern, contemporary fit. The hand-cultivated, long-staple 100% organic cotton has been rope-dyed and woven on vintage shuttle looms at moderate tensions in Japan, resulting in a durable, signature denim that’ll soften and fade beautifully over time.

As per usual, these jeans boast a bunch of details that we’ve come to expect from Momotaro, such as an embossed suede cowhide waist patch, heavy-duty canvas pocket bags, a zinc steel button fly, embossed copper riveting, hidden rear rivets, bartack reinforcement throughout, and a chainstitched waist, seat, and hem. Oh, and let’s not forget about the brand’s signature peach selvedge ID.
