Reach New Selvedge Peaks With Studio D’Artisan’s D1838 “Mount Fuji” Jeans

When it comes to jeans inspired by nature, Studio D’Artisan does it the best, and these new D1838 “Mount Fuji” 14 oz. Relaxed Tapered jeans are some of the most interesting ones we’ve seen them produce so far. And that’s saying a lot. They’ve done so many, from matcha, cherry blossoms, to charcoal, and now they’ve infused lava from the pride of Japan itself to the weft yarn of the jean. Don’t touch the lava – unless it’s comfortably wrapped around your legs in the form of a Japanese-made relaxed tapered jean.

The Mt. Fuji jeans are made in their slightly shorter than average inseam relaxed tapered fit, and feature the jean’s signature, slightly slubby, G3 shuttle-loomed 98/2 Cotton-Rayon kneaded with lava fabric, which you simply cannot get from any other brand. Other details include: 5-pocket construction, sashiko fabric-lined yoke and pocket bags, SDA’s classic back arcuates in dual tones, Mt. Fuji patch and pocket flasher, Bartack reinforcements, chainstitched hem and waistband, dual tone stitched coin pocket detail — to mirror the arcuates and sashiko fabric –and an all-white selvedge ID reminiscent of Fuji’s peak.
