Banshu Hamono’s Folding Knife Is Beautiful

What a beautiful bit o’ brass this Banshu Hamono Medium Folding Knife is. A traditional Japanese Higonokami knife, to be specific, featuring a high-carbon “Ao-hagane” blue steel blade that folds into a brass sheath. Any item crafted from Japanese steel and brass usually fits pretty hard into the category of quality-made goods, if you ask me, and I like to think I know a thing or two about Japanese-crafted goods.

A small folding knife is never a bad thing to have on you, especially if you have a need for one, you could do far worse than a Japanese-made folder like this little thing. And, you know, brass patinas in a way that your other EDC items might not. But if your EDC is all brass, then this little guy is a must-add to the collection of items you throw in your pockets/bags before venturing out for the day.
