Momotaro Made a Type II From Green Tea-Dyed Sashiko

It’s tea time with Momotaro‘s Heavyweight “Green-Tea Dyed” Sashiko Modified Type 2 Jacket. It’s their fan-favorite Modified Type 2 Jacket, complete with a natural sashiko fabric that’s been overdyed with green tea. This jacket is for the tea-lovers, or for those who need a unique, solidly built trucker to add to their rotation.

Now, there isn’t much fading to be had, here, but there is a serious amount of versatility. Truckers are pretty much year-’round garments — wear them under a coat in the winter, over a t-shirt in the spring or summer evenings, or over a sweat in the fall, and you’re good.

Made in Japan, the Green-Tea Dyed Sashiko Modified Type 2 is cut from a heavier-than-average weight sashiko fabric, sure to outlast your standard weight, unreinforced fabrics, thanks to the thousands of stitches keeping it together. And if the fabric wasn’t detailed enough, the jacket is finished with Silver-coated “peach” metal buttons throughout, cinches at the hip, a branded deerskin patch and the neck, and Momo’s classic “GTB” discharge printed stripes on the arm.

The jacket even comes with a bag of green tea for you to enjoy… best sipped while breaking in the jacket for the first time.
