Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Kapital comes along with other ideas. The Denim HAPPY Painter Pants aren’t painter pants, but they’re sure as hell a left-field pair of denim pants that are different from anything else on the market — exactly where Kapital feels most at home.
Let’s start from the top, these are made in Japan from 100% cotton indigo denim, a pretty loose fit all the way down with one of the highest rises we’ve seen, and a knee pleat detail that accentuates the taper below the knee. The asymmetric colored denim panels used throughout are a unique feature that elevates an already unique piece, but the standout feature of these beauties is the pockets. Just the one slash-entry patch pocket on the front which looks to be the size of 2 pockets put together with an exaggerated curved bottom, one of the back pockets is also sacrificed for a triangle-shaped denim patch which sits alongside an oversized square one on the other side. Crazy? Yes. Does it work? Well, that’s down to you, but we think so.
A leather back patch serves as the solo branding hit on these unmistakable pants which are available from Blue in Green priced at $184
