Buying less doesn’t always have to mean spending more. Our ethos is buying things that you want to use forever, and if that thing is a pair of Uniqlo selvedge denim jeans, then go for it, pal! We’ve seen enough faded Uniqlos ’round these parts to know that they can compete with the best of ’em if worn hard enough.
But hold up, you don’t think we would have come at you without evidence, right? Brendan in Canada has been wearing these 2 (yep, 2) pairs of Uniqlo Regular Fit Selvedge Denim Jeans for 7 years, as part of a rotation with a few other pairs. And whilst these aren’t the most nuanced jeans around, Brendan has certainly got a lot of fade for his bucks.
Washed and soaked a ton and used for sewing practice (shoutout that crazy darning on the back of one of the pairs), these jeans haven’t just faded nicely, they’ve faded to our friend’s lifestyle. With an impressive color story packed with a fleet of blue hues to the shredded front and funky back leg repairs on one of the pairs, there is a little Beauty and the Beast going within and between both examples that we simply love.
