Okayama Denim Has a Full Size Run of TCB’s Stalwart “50s” Raw Denim Jean

Vintage is very in and the prices are very…up. So nabbing a pair of 50s jeans — especially a pair of Mr. Strauss’ — is probably not in the cards for a lot of people. Especially if you are actually trying to wear ’em and forge your own fades.

TCB knows this and thereby put in the work to deliver the next best thing, a pair of 50’s Regular Straight Selvedge Jeans modeled after the original, using an original example for reference. We’re talking hand-traced treatment folks. Despite their holistically vintage approach, the TCB 50s has cemented itself as a revered and popular raw denim jean in the modern day. You only have to check Reddit or follow @volvo_sufu on Instagram to see how well TCB has resonated with today’s denim heads.

Made from a 13.5 oz Zimbabwe cotton, this specialized selvedge denim fabric was milled on vintage shuttle looms to match its role model, and is sure to produce those signature, vintage Levi’s-style fades TCB is known for. With all the nuggets that an original pair of Levi’s would be known for, like a 5 button fly , pinky-red selvedge ID, chain stitched hem and waistband, red rayon red tab, and of course that iconic paper patch, TCB could have fooled us! Well, almost.

Available for $200 from Okayama Denim.
