Warehouse & Co.’s U.S. Army Pants Are Some Of The Widest HBT Pants Out

Don’t get me wrong, I like rooting around in my local army surplus store as much as anyone but the time spent/gems found ratio can more often than not be very unfavorable. Warehouse & Co. is here to alleviate some of your frustration with another fine example of a modern approach to repro with their take on the M-43 issued field trouser used by the U.S. Army – The Lot. 1098 U.S Army Herringbone Pants.

These are great because of how accurately they’re reproduced, with the 13-star buttons and mismatched HBT fabrics used. Plus, you can wear them with anything, from a tailored jacket for a proper Japanese modern Ivy look, or simply with a sweat and some sneakers.  Expect some shrinkage after washing, up to 4cm in the waist and 6cm on the length” – Oli, Store Manager, Clutch Cafe

Made in Japan, these drab darlings are cut from a 100% cotton herringbone twill which, due to its broken weave, is much stronger than regular twill, and therefore more suited to the needs of the soldiers. These come in a wide fit that has a full leg and some of the largest hem openings out, and feature a deep patch pocket on each side with button flap closure. The period-authentic olive drab color runs throughout except on the waistband and belt loops which are sewn on with a slightly different shade as a nod to the original wartime manufacturing methods. The use of black 13-star buttons which will chip and patina over time is the cherry on top of an already fantastic pant.
