Pigeon Tree Launches Collab No. “5.5” With Indonesian Bootmaker Santalum

The Reverse Klondike Service Boot by leather legends Pigeon Tree and Santalum is a world first. Never before has there been a boot constructed from reversed S.B. Foot Black Teacore Klondike Leather. ‘Til now, that is. You would never really guess from looking at the flesh side of this leather that the grain side is black until you slip them on your feet and you see the beautiful black grain that is S.B. Foot’s Klondike leather. I guess this brown is what the ‘tea‘ brown core of the leather looks like. Nice.

Handmade in Indonesia in limited numbers, these stompers are absolutely overflowing with detail. Hand-stitched (with two-toned olive and cream thread) Veldtschoen construction on Santalum’s No.5 Service Boot last, brass hardware and eyelets throughout (including branded Pigeon Tree rivets), a channeled insole, cork filling, leather midsole, Dr. Sole Supergrip Raw Cord Half Sole, and much more. The boots are even finished with “Made for _____” with your name included on the insole.

Available for $475 from Pigeon Tree Crafting.
