Sassafras Made Its ⅘ Digs Crew Pant In ‘Cotton Dobby Suede’

Sassafras’ Digs Crew Pants ⅘ are the most unique pair of pants I’ve seen in a little while, and through my work here with Heddels and my own jawn-journeys, I see a lot of pants.

Made in Japan and cut from a suede-like cotton dobby material, these slightly cropped pants feature oversized front gusseted pockets, both with a snap button closure, oversized rear patch pockets — based on the helicopter crew shirts worn by the U.S. military — with overlay gusset flap pockets, a crotch gusset, and button fly. Basically, hella gussets, folks.

But the most interesting thing about these pants is the hem. Not only are they cropped, but they’re also actually cinched with a button closure. Not something you see every day. If you’re on the shorter side, these pants are going to fit perfectly as is. If you’re on the taller side, you’ve got yourself a nice pair of cropped pants that you can rock with some loafers, sandals, or derbies. It’s a win-win situation.
