Fade Friday – A.P.C. Petit Standard (10+ Years, Unknown Washes & Soaks)

Serial fadez-submitter, Julian, in Chicago has been seasoning his A.P.C. Petit Standard jeans for over 10 years and they are taking us right back to the golden age of slim-fitting raw denim when fades reigned supreme in the crowded halls of fashion forums like Superfuture.

Worn while doing literally everything — from working on graffiti and going to shows to cycling — these are renaissance jeans if we’ve ever seen a pair. Featuring a completely washed-out complexion and lots of goodies sprinkled throughout like rips and tears down the front and back of the legs and past whisker and honeycomb civilizations lost to the sands of time, these jeans are rougher around the edges than most pairs we get and we are here for it. The back left pocket is clean off, for goodness sake, which might’ve led to the best ghost fade we’ve seen in a while. Held together with some crotch repairs, we’re not sure if these A.P.C.s will live through Julian’s next throw-up, but we’re sure they will be just as happy in a frame on the wall.
