Loyal Stricklin Launches New Denim Line

When Loyal Stricklin put out its first denim jackets in 2021, we had no idea the Nashville-based brand was planning on putting out a whole, verstaile line of raw denim jeans.  As it turns out, Loyal Stricklin has been spending the last 2 years collecting the machines necessary to take a holistic venture into the world of 5-pocket jeans. LS is now offering a whole new line of raw selvedge denim jeans, all made in the USA by a small team of skilled craftspeople. In other words, there’s a new denim brand on the block, people.

Loyal Stricklin’s denim launch consists of nine (yes, nine) new pairs of raw selvedge denim jeans. The roster is spread over three silhouettes and three fabrics:

The Fits –

  • STR – All of LS’ new jeans use the same top block, but the STR is more relaxed in the thigh part of the jean, for a straight leg that spans down the to brand’s widest hem opening.

  • SLM – LS’ Slim Fit has the same top block from the crotch up, but is slimmer through the thigh and leg, with a smaller hem opening.

  • TPR – This is LS’ tapered jean. It features the same fit as the STR from the knee up, with roomier thighs than the SLM and a taper through the leg down to a smaller hem opening (same hem as the SLM).

The Fabrics –

  • 14 oz. Vidalia Mills Indigo Selvedge – A mid-weight indigo fabric from Vidalia Mills, the American denim mill using the same Draper X3 shuttle looms that sat upon the floors of the legendary Cone Mills White Oak Plant.
  • 21 oz. Kuroki Mills Super Heavy Selvedge – A heavyweight fabric from the legendary Kuroki mills, weighing 21 oz. per square yard and offering a deeper shade of indigo than the indigo Vidalia fabric. There’s also a serious amount of slub.
  • 14 oz. Vidalia Mills Double Black Selvedge – A super-black fabric also from Vidalia, with black warp and weft yarns for a dark jean that will develop smokey-grey fades.

Each pair of Loyal Stricklin raw denim jeans is made to order in the brand’s Nashville studio (taking 2-4 weeks to ship) and finished with a ‘Loyal’ branded leather waist patch, natural ‘army duck‘ cloth pocket bags, copper rivets, lined back pockets, and charming ‘Tenessee wheatgrass’ pocket arcuates.

The collection is available to order at Loyal Stricklin, with prices ranging from $235 to $375.
