Clutch Cafe Adds Eyes’ to Roster, Starting With 3 Rayon Shirts

Clutch Cafe is arguably Europe’s premier destination when it comes to Japanese heritage clothing. A child of the iconic Clutch Magazine, it has access to some of Japan’s best denim and heritage-wear labels. And with so many fantastic makers to choose from, you know when Clutch brings a new label on board, it’s gonna be a good one.

Enter Style Eyes, Clutch’s latest addition to the roster. Part of the Toyo Enterprise group of heavy-hitting Japanese brands, Style Eyes is a brand focused squarely on reproducing iconic garments manufactured during the ‘golden age’ of Americana such as bowling shirts, zany graphic print tees, and camp/open collar shirts.

Clutch’s first delivery from Style Eyes includes three cracking Bowling Shirts inspired by the leisure shirts sported in the ‘50s. Cut from rayon in Japan, Style Eyes’ Plain Bowling Shirts feature two chest pockets, an open collar, a button front, and a woven Style Eyes label. These look to be such an easy throw-on as we ease ourselves into the warmer months, and

“These are leisure shirts by name and leisure shirts by nature – easy going and slouchy and look great with washed out jeans or fatigues. Made in the same way they would have been in the 50’s with a vintage feeling natural rayon, which stays cool in the hot weather. Perfect for sipping cocktails out of a pineapple on Waikiki beach or a weekend in Camber Sands.” – Oliver, Manager, Clutch Cafe.

Coming in three colors – navy, off-white and blush pink – each shirt is handmade in Japan and available for $255 from Clutch Cafe.
