The Office Isn’t Ready For These Unmarked Veg-Tan Long Wing Brogues

One look at these Unmarked Veg-Tan Long Wing Brogues and I’m baffled as to why we don’t see more high-quality shoemakers deploy this kind of leather on low-top formal shoes. Like, damn.

I’m not really a fan of lists, but I think it’s appropriate to illustrate why these Unmarked steppers are so good. A) veg-tan leather looks great from the jump, b) the light natural tone lets the wings and pinking shine, c) they offer a different aesthetic to the classic brown, black, and tan leathers typically used on a brogue, and d) they will literally look completely different after a couple of years of wear, morphing into a soft and patinated shoe with all manner of brown tones. If you haven’t seen how natural vegetable-tanned leather ages, just check out this Tanner Belt we featured a few Fade Fridays ago. Now imagine that sort of patina, but across the whole of these brogues.

Enough gushing, you get the point. These Long Wing Brogues are made in Mexico like the rest of Unmarked’s lineup, with a storm welt, replaceable outsole, veg-tan leather midsole, channeled leather insole, and a cork footbed for comfort.

Available for $350 from Unmarked.
