Buzz Rickson’s Releases 30th Anniversary L-2B Flight Jacket

Balancing souvenir jackets with bombers, Buzz Rickson’s is pulling out all the stops to mark 30 years in the business with their Type L-2B Jacket in Sage Green. Modeled after the original USAF Light Zone L-2B, this repro has been updated for the modern day which means incredible functionality balanced with sensible design and proportions to meet your wardrobe halfway.

Made in Japan from a 100% lightweight satin shell and 65% rayon, 35% wool blended lightweight lining, although durable, this thing is approachable year-round. It’s fitted with a Crown zipper, flap tab with snaps at the waist, arm zip pocket, and snap front pockets, meaning you’re equipped for anything daily life can throw at you. The knit hem and wrists don’t hurt either. And neither do the epaulets.

While this piece would be a home run if left there, the additional details which include a front patch inspired by the 18th Fighter Bomber Group in Korea and intricate tailor embroidery outback, make this a jacket to remember. And one fit to celebrate one of Japan’s biggest hitters’ 30th birthday.

Available for $970 from Clutch Cafe.
