Danner & Mystery Ranch Team Up to Produce Trail 2650 GTX Hiking Shoe

Function over form. Form over function. I say, why not both? Introducing the Danner x Mystery Ranch Trail 2650 GTX Hiking shoe.

The hiking shoe —which has a name reminiscent of the souped-up cars I used to drive into walls when the Burnout franchise was in vogue — is the latest collaboration between American outdoor boot stalwart Danner and military-mad carry experts Mystery Ranch.  The low-profile 2650 GTX hiking shoe combines a durable mesh and lightweight textile upper with a robust Vibram outsole. Unlike typical trail or running shoes, the 2650 GTX is equipped with a stabilizing shank for stability while out on the trail, as well as an ultralight EVA midsole and removable OrthoLite footbed for maximum comfort.

Oh, and they’re lined with a breathable, waterproof GORE-TEX. Yes, gorp-heads, GORE-TEX. But please, no more shower TikToks

The 2650 GTX colorway is pretty unique in that it’s inspired by the layered colors of the sunsets in Big Sky County, a community in the Rocky Mountains of southern Montana. I can’t say I’ve ever seen one, but if they look anything like this shoe, then they’re probably worth experiencing.
