Inspired by the McGregor Drizzler Jacket made famous by James Dean in Rebel Without A Cause, the Jelado Dean Jackets in Old Navy (currently sold out) and Light Tan are exacting copies that bring in new shades to a piece of classic film history.
But the color difference isn’t the only creative liberty that Jelado has taken. Instead of a lightweight cotton, nylon, or poly-nylon construction, their version is updated with a ventile fabric that is both breathable and water-repellent. Closed out with a repro zip front closure and patch pockets, if there was ever a quintessential spring/summer jacket, this would be it.
Whether paired with the classic white tee, Lee Riders, and engineer boots to channel the star himself or exploring a different path with the likes of a border stripe tee and some chinos, the Dean Jacket is a cool customer that easily abides.
