Buzz Rickson’s Issues Wind-Resistant Poplin Tropical Combat Shorts

Just because we are on summer’s doorstep doesn’t mean you need to leave your fatigues at home. Thanks to Buzz Rickson’s Olive Green Army Shade 107 shorts, you can keep the drab party going all season long.

Modeled after the “Tropical Combat” fatigues used during the tropical climate of Vietnam, these shorts are made from cotton poplin which means a lightweight feel and quick dry capabilities. Featuring a tonal button fly closure and cargo pockets, they are an example of old-school functionality that has come back around and for good reason. However, it’s the pocket straps on each leg, which can be used as tourniquets that remind us of the harsh original context of fatigues, but also their re-imagination in society.

Made in Japan and perfect for pairing with your favorite hi or low-cut sneakers or sandals, shins meet sun, sun-shins.

Available for $135 from Hinoya.
