Not everyone has the funds to get into a pair of Vibergs but that won’t stop us from admiring the bootmaking excellence pouring from this pair of 2040 Service Boots. This is a limited edition pair, cut from a small-batch run of C.F. Stead’s Mojave Waxed Commander leather, an all-elements hide permeated with oils and waxes. This leather is going to keep your feet dry and protected, all the while aging beautifully and molding to your feet.
The 2040 is packed with details. It’s handmade in Viberg’s Canadian boot factory on their original 2040 last and fitted with a capped toe complete with ornate brogueing details for patina overdrive. Need traction? The beefy lug Ridgeway sole has you covered. Stitchdown construction means re-soles are a doozy, full leather lining keeps things smooth and long-lasting on the interior, and antique metal hardware compliments the leather beautifully. Oh, and that aged contrasting leather midsole.
That’s the thing with Viberg. Each boot looks great at first sight look closer and the details just don’t stop coming. They’re an investment, for sure, but one you simply couldn’t regret.
