Studio D’Artisan’s SP-101 Hinode Wallet is Akane Dyed with Madder Roots

You already know Japanese denim brands take their denim seriously, but have you seen their accessories? They’re next level, just like the blue jeans. This particular next-level leather wallet commemorates the 45th anniversary of Osaka 5 legends Studio D’Artisan.

The SP-101 45th “Hinode” Leather Long Wallet is certainly fit for the occasion. Look at this Himeji-sourced leather! The pink-y magenta red color is achieved by dyeing the leather with ‘Akane’ also known as madder root dye. You don’t normally find this hue on leather outside of leather-painted goods, whereby the paint sits on the top grain of the leather and doesn’t penetrate the leather like a beautiful natural water-based dye.

All made by hand in Japan, the long design features plenty of wide and gusseted compartments for your cash, coins, cards, international bills, receipts, photobooth strips, and more. Japanese Universal brass zipper hardware, contrast stitching, natural leather zipper pull, and an interior 45th-anniversary stamp round out this end-tier wallet with aplomb.

Available for $352 from Redcast Heritage.
