Stevie in West Virginia is bringing some exceptional Iron Heart 777-XHSBBs to the table and we’re here to unpack them for this edition of Fade Friday. Weighing in at a thigh-chafing 25 oz., these black-out jeans offer a nice break from the indigo wave gracing our inbox and we are 100% here for it.

From teaching art at a public school in Maryland and walking his dogs with his wife, to going on vacation in North Carolina and Delaware, these jeans were there each step of the way over the last 4 years. Through 8 machine washes and tons of hard-wear, these IHs have earned their stripes and shown their true colors, which include many, many shades of grey. Bursting with crease lines all over the place — including explosive whiskers and honeycombing — smokey undertones and hues create a dramatic if not mystifying effect.

But when all that smoke clears, there’s still some darker denim left for Stevie to work on, so we’d welcome an update when these hit the half-a-decade mark.
