Corridor NYC’s FW24 Knitwear Collection Has a Bit of Everything

Corridor NYC has been at the top of its game for a while, now. It’s a brand with identity, style, and vision. A brand that can sew up inspirations from workwear, Americana, and gaudy 80s garb into one cohesive output. Nowhere is Corridor’s eclecticism more evident than in its knitwear, a statement proven by its diverse FW24 knitwear collection.

From zany sweaters to comfy cardigans, Corridor’s FW24 knitwear is a fuzzy jamboree of some of the most stylish knits around. Want something timeless? The Buttondown Sweater — coming in brown, camel, and navy — is a classic, collared, full-placket 100% cotton sweater that hits the right notes of ‘old man steez‘, making it a quality basic that will pair with just about anything. For something on the opposite end of the spectrum, look no further than the Corridor’s calling card – Space Dye. A technique that whimsically blends stripes of color into a gorgeously textured vignette that that’s eye catching without being garish, Corridor’s Space Dye can be seen across a range of Mohair Crewnecks and Beanies. As a 90s kid, the orange colorway (which has unsurprisingly sold out) is giving me some serious nostalgia.

The Raga Cardigan is another unconventional knit that looks like something you’d see on the back of a Whole Foods patron in the early 90s. The brickwork-type pattern is expertly knit (using a blend of space-dyed and plain yarns) in Peru from a blend of alpaca, polyamide, wool, and silk, and comes in 3 colorways. If you want just a touch of Corridor-craziness in your outfit, unique knitting can also be seen on the Keter beanie, a noodly knitted cap crafted from 100% pima cotton.

Bringing things back down to earth is the Cardigan Vest, which sings from the same geriatric hymn sheet as the Buttondown Sweater in all the best ways. It’s knit from 100% organic cotton in the ever-omnipotent navy, meaning it can be used exactly how a sweater-vest is meant to be – as a layer. Pop this over an oxford shirt or a quality longsleeve t-shirt and you have a top half to be reckoned with. And need I talk about the timelessness and versatiltiy of a 100% Mohair Cardigan which Corridor is putting out in Navy and Blue? Probably not.

My last pick is the Acid Wash Cardigan – an unfussy, 100% cotton cardigan that has been acid-washed to achieve a level of texture and nuance you would only find from an elusively perfect vintage example. The Green colorway is aching to paired with selvedge denim, while the Navy and Purple look set to pair with, well, anything.
