Dawson Denim’s Waxed Cotton Mac is Lined with Indigo Kasuri

Dawson Denim‘s Waxed Cotton Mac expertly fuses the utilitarian ruggedness of waxed cotton with the timeless elegance of the Mackintosh Coat.

The term ‘Mac‘ refers to a 3/4 length coat invented by Charles Mackintosh. And while it may be a British term, I’m sure stylish purveyors of quality goods on both sides of the Atlantic can get down with this beauty. Especially when it’s been sewn from a gorgeous British Millerain waxed cotton and lined with an insane Kasuri indigo fabric — need I say more about this thing?

This earth-toned, element-resistant waxed cotton is a nice contrast to all the indigo blue you’re normally rocking, but it can also serve as a fantastic companion to say, a suit? Where my mods at? In reality, you can rock the Mac with pretty much anything —from raw denim to sweatpants — and the oversized fit makes layering a doozy.

Dawson didn’t compromise on quality, obviously, but let us break it down for you: The Mac comes complete with hidden British horn buttons on the front placket, dual flap-closure hip pockets, hidden side seam pockets, internal pockets, an Italian corduroy collar, removable hood, button-adjusting cuffs, brass eyelets, Reece 101 button holes, and a storm flap. Each piece is built by a maximum of 2 craftspeople in Dawson’s workshop on the south coast of England.
