Cult-favorite denim brand Gustin is giving you a chance for untold slub and high contrast fades with a limited crowd-funding campaign at half the price of competing brands. I could just stop and drop the link here, but seeing as you’re here I’ll go a bit deeper.
This 18 oz. slubby Japanese selvedge denim looks damn fine when broken in, as you can see from the faded sample image. Despite an uptick in popularity recent years, slubby, heavyweight denim just doesn’t get old. It looks unique from the jump and only gets better. The only downside is having to jeansplain to folks why your denim looks so trippy.
The jeans in question are customizable in fit, with a straight, slim, and slim-tapered fit (skinny) silhouettes all available for pre-order. Each pair is made in the USA with a classic 5-pocket design, metal button fly, contrast stitching throughout, rivet and bar-tack seam reinforcements, and a leather waist patch. Gustin’s calling ard details can be seen in the straight line arcuates on the rear pockets and the all-important selvedge belt loop.
This limited run of crowd-funded jawns is only available at this price if you back the campaign, so hurry up and rock with Gustin if you want to go down to slub town.
