Wake up and smell the veg-tanned leather, because it’s business as usual for the Canadian boot manufacturers, Viberg. And with 2018 well and truly underway, they’re certainly setting the pace with their latest offering, the Coffee Essex Leather Service Boot.

This boot is constructed from Horween‘s Essex leather, a vegetable-tanned side leather with an oily sheen similar to that of shell cordovan. In a deep brown tone aptly dubbed ‘Dark Coffee,’ the finish makes for a smooth, rich upper, which is complemented by vintage brass eyelets and tonal waxed laces. Built using Viberg’s sleek 2030 last, this Service Boot sits on a tough Dainite sole, with stitchdown construction that allows the boot to be re-soled time and time again.
