Sure, we acknowledge there’s a lot of Type II jackets out there. They’re classic, a staple if you will. They’re tried and tested. And you’d be forgiven for thinking this is just another Type II. But, coming from those Okayama-based denim craft masters Pure Blue Japan, there is more than meets the eye.

Of course, it’s got the customary front pleats, two chest pockets, and waist adjuster tabs. It’s even indigo dyed. So what’s the difference I hear you cry? Well, the clue is in the fabric. Made from ‘towel denim’ or ‘Terry Cloth’ as it’s commonly known, this 100% cotton one wash fabric gives a pile texture as a result of upright loops of yarn on the face of the fabric. Super soft, this innovative application stays true to the roots of the brand but continues to see them develop new ways to indigo. The jacket is a slim fit and features coated iron buttons with embossing, double needle chainstitched construction, a deerskin leather patch, and infamous leaf logo.
