Their new <strong>511 Commuter Jeans<\/strong> are designed specifically with urban cyclists in mind and are packed to the brim with features that are intended to provide comfort, style and safety for those who prefer to bike.<\/p>\n<p>While they aren&#8217;t the first jeans-maker to target cyclists (That distinction goes to <strong><em>Self Edge<\/em><\/strong> &amp;<strong><em> Ironheart<\/em><\/strong>&#8216;s discontinued <strong>SEXIH03<\/strong>, seen below), these jeans certainly take the cake thanks to a number of innovations that have been introduced in the Commuter line.<\/p><div class=\"related_posts evergreen_funnels\"><h3>Like this? Inside those pant-legs is yet another clever idea. Although the Commuters are not made of selvedge denim, <strong><em>Levi&#8217;s<\/em><\/strong> has covered the outseam&#8217;s overlock stitching with <em><strong>3M<\/strong><\/em> reflective material, helping boost visibility for night time riding.<\/p>\n<p>Other biking-specific details include the reinforced rear pockets, belt loops and seat; additional waistband loop, which is designed to fit a standard bicycle U-Lock; as well as a hidden center back pocket allowing riders easy access to their phone or iPod.<\/p>\n<p>Even the denim, itself, has been specially engineered for biking. <em><strong>Levi&#8217;s<\/strong><\/em> has created an 11.5 Oz. denim with minor stretch properties to retain comfort and allow for a greater range of movement. On top of this, a <strong>NanoSphere<\/strong> treatment has been applied to make the jeans water resistant.<\/p>\n<p>These jeans are a definitive must-have for anyone with a shared love of denim and bikes.
