It’s a well-known fact that many denim heads go as long as possible without washing their jeans, ignoring the smell and dirt on the mission for perfect fades. Farisan Hadyan, of Indonesia, decided to take a more relaxed approach with his Oldblue Co. Indonesian Selvedge 19 oz., keeping them dry for the first three months, and then machine washing regularly thereafter. The results? Some awesome fading, making these jeans worthy of today’s Fade Of The Day.

Farisan wears his jeans every day, frequently going on motorcycle tours. All the exposure to water has locked in a lot of the indigo dye, but the lap has faded well, with some solid whiskers to show for it. Faint ripples and creases from machine-washing can be seen all over, and we have some subtle honeycombs that wrap round to the knee. With only 11 months wear, and no repairs needed, there is a long life ahead for these Oldblues.
