Blue Blue Japan, the brand so blue they named it twice. Their fall/winter collection (thankfully) doesn’t stray from their usual indigo-heavy color palette, and one of the stand-out pieces is this the Sashiko Railroad Worker Jacket.

This jacket is a classic, unlined chore, which is brought to life by the highly textured sashiko fabric — a lightweight, indigo-dyed cotton weave that will age handsomely. It follows the traditional chore-formula, but that formula has been altered slightly, with the chest pockets dropping down the torso to sit just above the two hip-pockets. Featuring brass button closures throughout, the pockets are lined with textile fabric for extra warmth and softness, and there’s a locker loop in the neckline for easy storage.
