Crescent Down Works Diagonal Quilt Italian Vest

Not many things help you battle the cold like a well-made down vest. They’re puffy, warm and, when done right, can be quite stylish, too. Crescent Down Works knows all about it because, well, it’s in the name, and they just dropped a new iteration of their famed layering piece called the Diagonal Quilt Italian Vest. I’m sweating just looking at it.

Sometimes puffy can be a little too puffy in certain scenarios, and CDW understands that. Pulling inspiration from their popular Italian Vest, the overall profile was slimmed down with the addition of a diagonal quilt pattern and ribbed neck collar, making for a unique yet functional piece.

The shell is made up of a water resistant 60/40 cotton-nylon material that’s stuffed with 5.5oz. premium 700 fill European goose down and paired with a 100% nylon streak free liner for ultimate comfort. The front placket is held together with a two-way zipper and leather-backed snap buttons, and the waist is elasticized to help keep the cold air out and body heat in. Two large outer pockets are paired with an inner velcro security pocket for the extra important stuff, and each vest is made by hand in CDW’s Seattle based workshop.

Available for $295, only at Freeman.
