Whether or not it was our own decision to make, many of us spent time during childhood as members of the Boy Scouts. I have many an un-fond memory of the oversized, boxy uniforms we wore, (hopefully) adorned with various patches displaying our talents and commemorations. The new Boy Scout Shirt by orSlow is not like that.
Pulling inspiration from vintage uniforms ranging back to the 1930s, their version of the shirt can appeal to the man scout in all of us. It combines the military styling often used in scout uniforms with some functional details, like dual flap chest pockets and gusseted side hem with chainstitch run-off. The no-collar design makes it easy to wear in warmer months, and it’s cut a little longer in the body with plenty of room to move, in true vintage fashion. If there were ever a ‘Well Dressed’ merit badge, it would go on this shirt immediately.
