Fade of the Day – Vintage Leather Bag (33 Years)

It’s not always faded jeans and beat-up boots on Fade of the Day, every once in a while we get a truly unique piece that means more to the owner than we could ever know. Today, we have a vintage leather bag which has been used for thirty-three years by its owner, Pete Sullivan from the U.K.

Pete tells us this bag has been around the world numerous times, in and out of many plane baggage holds, and round and round its fair share of conveyor belts. The glowing patina it has developed as a result of its travels is hard to put into words, but it’s safe to say that every scratch, crease, and ripple tells a story of its own. Having only conducted one repair – to the strap – Pete labels this bag as indestructible, and our guess is that he’ll be happily using it for another couple of decades…at least.
