Pure Blue Japan Serves Up Sashiko Selvedge Jeans

Pure Blue Japan has gone sashiko speed for their new pair of jeans. Continuing to bring the heat, the Japanese heavyweights are offering their relaxed tapered fit in an incredible dark indigo selvedge sashiko fabric. Made in Japan as you’d expect, the 1153 is a one wash denim and features a deerskin leather patch, customary PBJ detailing, and 100% cotton thread sewing.

While sashiko isn’t new to the world of heritage and many brands have sampled the historic Japanese sewing technique, the selvedge sashiko, without a doubt, takes things to the next level. The difference here is that the sashiko is embedded in the entire width of the fabric including the selvedge itself. We can’t wait to see how these bad boys fade.
