Rogue Territory Introduces RGT.A

Karl Thoennessen, the founder of Rogue Territory (or RGT), recently announced a new line to his fold: RGT.A. While we aren’t sure exactly how to pronounce RGT.A, or how the cool kids will ultimately choose to pronounce it, we do have the details.

The first thing you’ll notice from the images is that RGT.A clearly diverts from what you’re used to with RGT. If RGT normally makes the garments a guy would want to wear with a pair of Red Wings, then RGT.A is basically the same thing for a pair of Vans. The clean and more defined looks point the needle closer towards the skate-streetwear trends of the moment, and have clearly been designed to co-habitate the same racks on the sales floor as the mainstays in those two arenas.

Just like RGT, it’s made in LA with the same eye for detail and level of quality, but what might be more interesting here is that the label is eschewing from the regimented seasonal rhythms that the fashion industry obeys. Instead, and very much like 3sixteen’s Singularities series, products will drop more or less when inspiration strikes. Each capsule could be a full range — or not.

Their graphic tee feels like the next progression from the ‘business card tee’ many brands are playing with as of late — a simple enough planetary image with just enough text to make you wonder. Their Black Denim Cruiser is your option if you want a clean denim jacket that seemingly has no lineage to either cowboys or truckers of any sort. And lastly, the ripstop Weekender Pant — with the ever-so-crucial knee-darts for that just-right silhouette — is a winner too.

Currently, RGT.A is only available at RGT-A.com and Need Supply.
