Two things are true and also pertinent to these Kiriko Patched Military Jackets: 1) Upcycling is having a moment and 2) Kiriko has an absolutely stupid stockpile of wild Japanese-made fabrics on deck at pretty much all times. Given that, it makes sense that the Portland-based operation would get in on the action.
Using an assortment of vintage military jackets as canvases, of sorts, Kiriko applied some of those aforementioned fabrics to the outer of each, giving them a tapestry-like quality and creating a set of one-of-a-kind jackets that are built to spice up any lazy summer (or not summer) outfit.
Currently, there are two Obi-collar pieces in stock, both with gusseted patch pockets at the front and buttoned cuffs, and one more classic offering that’s been peppered with vintage indigo Shima fabrics and has a button front, so that’s neat.
But again, one-of-a-kind means that there’s only one of each style—that’s three total for the math people—so get on it while you can.
