Here comes a monster collaboration from Benzak Denim Developers and Japan Blue, the JBJxBDD-J266B Mid Tapered 16.5 oz. Cote d’Ivoire Monster jeans, and it certainly is terrifying. Terrifyingly good, that is! If you’ve never worn Japan Blue’s Monster denim before, these limited edition straight-tapered fit jeans just might be the Monster to cop.
The Cote d’Ivoire Monster jeans is crafted in Japan from Collect Mills 16.5 oz. Japanese Monster Slub Selvedge, a right-hand twill denim made from hand-picked Cote d’Ivoire organic cotton. This fabric is sanforized, so don’t expect much shrinkage, if anything it’ll likely stretch a bit with wear.
Coming in a fit that BDD and Japan Blue have dubbed ‘straight-tapered‘, these monsters are fitted with a mid-rise, roomy top block for those endowed with chunkier thighs, and an aggressive taper down to a narrow hem opening that will work great with both sneakers and boots. They’re crammed details, too. An Ivory Coast/Japanese flag-colored selvedge ID, JBJ Metal Buttons on the fly, organic cotton twill pocket bags, a hidden 6th pocket with visible selvedge, a leather patch marking the collaboration, and tonal-stitched back pocket arcs. They even come with a commemorative indigo-dyed bandana.
