Battenwear Spring/Summer 2017 Lookbook

Battenwear is one of those “urban outdoors” brands, designed for those who’d rather be riding a t-bar than the subway… but still mostly ride the subway. That’s a concept that’s not the easiest to communicate, but, through the able lens of Eric Kvatek, it’s one that shines through in their Spring Summer 17 lookbook (yes, it’s still February).

The shoot’s backdrop is Rat Rock, the bouldering mecca in Manhattan’s Central Park beloved by climbing fans with enough time to go further into the city but not enough to get out. The collection features a variety of subdued earth tones with a couple hints of neon pop, while the silhouettes of the blazers, anoraks, and varsity jackets recall Take Ivy prep. Standouts include an olive mac, floral print board shorts, and a hooded seersucker blazer.

Release is TBD, but when it is, you can find it at Battenwear.
