Fade of the Day – Naked & Famous Elephant 4 (9 Months, 2 Washes)

One of the many reasons us denim heads love wearing raw denim is because each pair tells a story. It could be just a few months or even a few years, but the fades that result give viewers with a keen eye a glimpse into the owner’s life—albeit one translated from fade lines and wear marks. Today’s Fade of the Day is one exceptionally nice pair of Naked & Famous Elephant 4s worn for nine months by Yitzhak Bongenaar of Indonesia.

Yitzhak wore these jeans through college, and continues to wear them now as a post-grad. He’s had plenty of good times in them, and, as we can see, has earned plenty of good fades (despite the lack of a front picture). The heavyweight denim is dropping indigo all over the place, with some really neat details forming on the back pockets and on the seams. His honeycombs are stacked high and tight, and we can almost imagine how good the knees and thighs look, too. And who knows, maybe he’s just holding out and will blow us away in another nine months.

You can see more of Yitzhak’s whereabouts on Instagram.
